ENHANCED SUSTAINABLE OPTION WITH ALLURA DECIBEL b+
We continuously work to reduce the environmental impact of our products. Allura decibel is already designed for a circular future: it can be installed with a tackifier for easier reuse or recycling, is produced using 100% green electricity, and meets the highest standards for low VOC emissions.
Going further with Allura decibel b+ For projects seeking an even more sustainable choice, there is an on demand option which includes bio-based PVC, plus a plasticizer from recycled origin. The full Allura decibel collection is also available as Allura b+.
What is Allura decibel b+ Allura decibel b+ contains 31% recycled material, including recycled waste of PVC flooring but also recycled plasticizer (made from, for instance, recycled water bottles). For Allura decibel b+ we also switched from traditional fosil-based PVC to bio-based PVC through a mass balance process to offer a product with an outstanding environmental profile!
How does it work? Bio-based materials originate from renewable, natural raw materials. When these materials are used in our production process, the product looks and performs exactly the same --the only difference is the origin of the raw materials. In mass-balance manufacturing, traditional PVC and bio-based PVC are not kept separate. Instead, they enter the same production stream. By purchasing the b+ version, you increase the share of bio-based content allocated within this production process. This means:
- The more b+ products our customers choose,
- the more bio-based and recycled raw materials we can introduce,
- leading to a continued reduction of fossil resources in our supply chain.
A smart choice for people and planet By choosing Allura decibel b+, you actively support the transition to renewable materials and help to reduce the use of fossil resources and the impact of CO2-emissions on the planet. Together, we can move towards healthier buildings, lower emissions, and a more circular flooring industry.
